Your game data
Pindrop is published by Yo Ventures. No account, email address, or payment information is needed to play.
Progress on your device
We use browser storage for a random device identifier, the current run’s access token, your map preference, and up to 100 completed scores. Clearing site data resets these device-local records. If storage is unavailable, the game uses temporary memory for the current visit.
Verified runs and scores
The server stores the submitted guesses, results, run time, and a hash of the random device identifier so it can resume runs and calculate scores consistently. Only submitted initials and scores are shown publicly on the leaderboard; your run token and guesses are not published there. Completed leaderboard scores are retained as game records. Unsubmitted run details expire after two days and are cleaned up as new games are started.
Performance and usage
We measure loading speed, interaction responsiveness, game starts, rounds, completions, and shares to improve Pindrop. Measurements include a broad device category and referral category, such as direct, Google, or ChatGPT. We do not store complete referring URLs in these measurements. Performance measurements are kept for up to 30 days and cleaned up during normal game activity.
Abuse prevention and hosting
Requests use hashed network identifiers for rate limiting. Rate-limit records are cleaned up after a week during normal game activity. Hosting providers may keep operational request logs. Pindrop is served using Vercel and Cloudflare infrastructure. Existing operational game records from earlier versions may remain in the publisher’s private administration system.
